    Great contest!
Sadly…I can’t enter…because I hail from the Great White North (aka Canada)
    BUT…I’ll play your game.
    A book I’m thankful for…
Super hard question, actually. I’m thankful for all books really. Because with books, how boring would life be?
To narrow it down…The Babysitter Club books, because they were pretty key for me in my early reading years. 😉

  2. Thankful for good books, better friends, and great romance.

  3. Love this contest, it really makes you think and appreciate the books you’ve read. I’ve discovered I’m thankful for so many books, but if I had to chose one right now, I would say “The Saint, The Surfer and The CEO by Robin Sharma. As to why, it is a book that allows you to rediscover yourself and see things clearer. What better book to be thankful for then one that gives you the gift of yourself and finding true happiness.

  4. I’m thankful for so very much, but since you’re twisting my arm… my “critique” partners have brought blinding rays of sunshine to my life. I adore them. I don’t know what I’d do without them. We share a love of great YA fiction and sandwiches. The End. Actually, I fairly sure we’ll live happily ever after 🙂

So, the book I’m most grateful was an entire series–the Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. Lewis. To my 6th grade brain, they explained God and the pursuit of enlightenment in a way that has never been surpassed. So, okay, seriously heavy. So my follow up would be Knight in Shining Armor, by Jude Deveraux. Not a book that necessarily stands the test of time, but when I read it, it completely captured my imagination, and started me down the path of romance (and paranormal romance).

This is a seriously amazing question! And great food for though!

    or even thought. (sigh)

  7. Epic fail. A BOOK I’m thankful for…I will ALWAYS have a monumental soft spot for all the Nancy Drew books. Love me some Nancy Drew!

    • HA Darcy, you crack me up.

Jenn, I LOVE the Narnia books – Also, I was just talking about how much I hated what’s his name in the second 1/2 of Knight 😉

Ivy, I haven’t read that. I’ll have to check it out.

Ok, Roomie is doing a blind drawing. I’ll put up the winner in a second!

      • And the winner is —- IVY! CONGRATS and thanks to everyone who played and tweeted – tons of tweets! Shocked by the number of hits. But only five people jumping in…. And then there was one 😉

      • Oh, it is a really good book, a gift from one of my mentors. If you do get to read would love your thoughts:)

  8. OMG I won?!!!! Well I am truly thankful for the opportunity to sink my eyes into these books:) Thank you very much. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and blessed Thanksgiving.
