This Wedding is Doomed: Release Day Celebration & Giveaway

Thank you Bria for letting us crash your blog for our un-wedding celebration. Here’s contemporary romance author Amanda Berry to kick off the celebration with details of our special “Let Them Eat Cake” giveaway to follow.

It’s amazing how we tend to forget or just don’t know about the crazy going-ons at our weddings. For me, my wedding was some years back and the beginning of a great friendship, love and life together. I remembered it snowed lightly when I was making my way to the chapel. The only snow for the day even though our wedding was six days before Christmas. Everything about that day is a happy hazy memory.

Most of us want a perfect day for our wedding. The perfect dress, the perfect cake, the perfect groom. I loved the idea of an overwrought wedding planner trying to make this a perfect day for the couple pitted against the one person who was determined to make it go wrong. I loved bringing to life Julie and Seth for Flirting with Disaster. I’m really proud to be part of this anthology with such amazing authors.

Anyone else have a fuzzy short memory of their wedding day? Or is it just me? 🙂 What’s the one thing good or bad that you remember from that day?

And what’s a wedding without cake? In not-so-subtle thievery of Tessa Dare’s cake extravaganza, we are offering cakes to four lucky guests. Tiramisu, to be specific, in honor of the bride Tessa’s favorite cake.

(I just noticed our bride has the same name as Tessa Dare….that is completely coincidental, by the way.)

But how to deliver a cake intact to its final destination? Voila! Tiramisu cake jars. Adorable and delicious and no plate needed. (The jars will only be delivered in the continental US. International winners can designate a recipient in the US.)

And because there’s always tiramisu left over, you also get a mini wedding favor version. Isn’t that adorable?

Comments

  1. no memory to share

  2. wishing it never happened

  3. My wedding went by way too quickly. I know exactly what you mean about memories being hazy. It was a wonderful day but so much happened and even though it was a very happy day, it is so hard to remember all those other little details!!!

  4. First or second marriage? Each one was delayed, which should have told me something at least with the first. The person who was supposed to unlock the church didn’t know about our ceremony.

  5. Deborah Favorito says

my wedding went by too fast. I do remember it though. Now divorced after 30 years of marriage,

  6. I’m not married. However, I have a horrible memory, so I probably won’t remember a lot of it whenever it happens lol.

  7. Patricia Cochran says

The ceremony may have seemed to go by so quickly, but the wedding itself has lasted.
We celebrated our 54th anniversary in April!

  8. Erm, I’m not married and never have been, so :X there is that.
If/when I do get married though, I imagine it’ll be something of a mess – just because it’ll be HUGE. I have an extremely large family on both sides, and I can’t imagine getting away with not inviting family.
… Not to mention whatever family [type] the guy will have. 😛

  9. Regina Ross says

Bad at the time but funny now when we go down memory lane….. I got coke spilled on my wedding dress 🙂

  10. Marcy Shuler says

Everything went by so fast during the ceremony. I didn’t know until I saw the official pictures that my then 8 year old nephew laid down on his stomach in the aisle to take pictures of us during the ceremony. LOL It’s pretty cute.

  11. I attended a wedding and noticed the groom’s tux more than the bride’s dress. It was a lovely wedding.

  12. I was married in a civil ceremony on a rainy January day at the county clerk recorder’s office. Only our parents, my grandmother, and my maid of honor were in attendance. My best memory is of the joy my grandma took in seeing her youngest grandchild get hitched.

  13. People having to much to drink and falling all over the place

  14. Quality articles or reviws is the main to interest the
visitors to go tto see the web page, that’s
what this web page is providing.
